Three Is a Magic Number

CONTEMPORARY COUNTERPART TO VINTAGE FASHION PROJECT

After a whirlwind trip to Missoula last week, I’m excited to announce that renowned stylist Carly Jenkins is on board with my new project!  My longtime friend is well-known for her kicky ‘dos and complete mastery of all things hair.  And makeup.  And style in general.  She has been involved with countless projects in and around Missoula.  From catwalks to rock shows and everything in between, this ultra-talented lady is the perfect blend of au courant and understated elegance.

If you aren’t familiar with the project of which I speak, check out my blog post “Dedicated Follower of Fashion” to get up to speed.  Celeste Johnson (Bozeman, Mont.) is collaborating with me on a vintage-inspired fashion project, thanks to her proclivity for retro styling.  Carly and I will be working on a contemporary facet of the same project, complementary to Celeste’s vision.  We will shoot in Missoula this summer, using local models hand-picked by CJ.  Our goal is to have everything wrapped up by sometime in July, so check back for updates as summer approaches!

Once the project is complete, everything will be combined into one show and available for your viewing pleasure in Bozeman and Missoula.  I have a First Friday show in the works for Msla right now, and the date will be announced as soon as the details are finalized.  I love participating in Missoula’s art walks!  It’s always such an honor to be part of something that supports and celebrates local artists in our communities.  I am currently listed on montanalinks.com along with a myriad of other Montana artists, so if you’re in the market for some eye candy be sure to check it out!
